The Washington-Lincoln Laurels for Leaders luncheon is held in February each year around the time of the birthdays of George Washington and Abraham Lincoln.This is to relate the event to the patriotism of these great presidents, and reflect on their service to our country that has become so much a part of our American heritage.

The Goals of Laurels for Leaders:

  • 1. To serve as a bridge between the business and education communities.

  • 2. To encourage students toward goals that benefit their future, their schools, and their communities.

  • 3. To provide high school students access to community leaders for meaningful educational, vocational, and service opportunities.

  • 4. To encourage lifetime service to the community.

  • 5. Through role modeling and recognition encourage the development of leadership skills and further service.

  • 6. To plan for and provide a stable base of funding for the perpetuation of Washington-Lincoln Laurels for Leaders.

  • 7. To remind students of the traditional values that have made our country great.
